J’s Indonesian Slaw

Get your taste buds in gear for our Farmer J twist on Indonesian Slaw. Picture this: shredded cabbage, zesty coriander, and a cheeky kick from red chili, all smothered in our sesame + soy dressing. Top it off with crunchy peanuts and fresh coriander for a dish that'll have you saying, "Cor blimey, that's Forkin’ good!”

Ingredients

Salad Ingredients:

½ cabbage White cabbage shredded
¼ cabbage Red cabbage shredded
1 bunch Coriander chopped
15 leaves Mint
5 leaves Thai Basil
4 stems Spring Onion, finely chopped
1 Cucumber, seedless & sliced
10-15 snow peas Snow Peas, raw & cut in half
1 Red Chili, sliced

Indonesian Dressing:

400g Avocado Oil
25g Sesame Oil
175g Soya sauce
87.5g Rice Vinegar
37.5g Brown Sugar
50g Ginger, Peeled
20g Garlic clove
5g Dry Chili flakes

Garnish for Salad:

½ cup Salted & Roasted Peanuts
Fresh Coriander

Method

Making the Indonesian dressing:

  1. Combine all the ingredients except the Avocado oil in a bowl. Blend thoroughly using a hand blender.
  2. While blending, slowly drizzle in the Avocado oil to achieve a perfectly emulsified sauce.
  3. Store the dressing in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Assemble the Salad:

    1. In a mixing bowl, toss together all the salad ingredients and the prepared dressing until well combined.
    2. Transfer the salad to a serving plate and generously garnish with salted & roasted peanuts along with fresh coriander leaves.
